Everyone’s favourite internationally acclaimed, mouse head wearing DJ is branching out into the world of video games.
On Monday, Deadmau5 streamed some”mad early “alpha alpha” testing” game play from his upcoming, untitled project on Twitch.
The footage shows a rough arena-style first person shooter map with a towering Deadmau5 looking over you like an omnipotent deity.
He’s playing a three on three but considering how early days the project appears to be, there’s no word on if team size will expand.
‘its not “anything” right now, its a prototype. lots to do.” Deadmau5 tweeted on Monday.
In the stream he says the weapons will be hitscanned – except for the sniper rifle – and comparable to Fortnite.
According to his tweets, the game is being made with the Unreal Engine.
Since the game is in such early days, there’s absolutely no clue as to when it will be coming out.
In other Deadmau5 gaming news, he recently joined forces with MAINGEAR, a PC system builder of custom gaming desktops and notebooks out of New Jersey, as an advisor and investor.
“Since then MAINGEAR has powered all of my projects including, my recently released “where’s the drop?” Deadmau5 says in a statement on the company’s website.
“As a gamer at heart I’m a big believer that the future of PC gaming and eSports has amazing potential for growth. It was obvious to pick MAINGEAR as my first investment in the space and with MAINGEAR’s crowd raise you can invest as well.”
